What Is So Unique About Allo Laverie?
Where possible Allo Laverie uses gentle organic cleansers and soaps, along with oxygen bleaches for laundering. While each on their own may not be as powerful as many of today's modern detergents, taken together, along with proper laundering techniques, Allo Laverie is able to render items clean without damage to fine textiles. Each item entrusted to Allo Laverie is first examined for stains, soil level, condition, age, construction, and any possible damage to determine the best method of cleaning. Before laundering items are pre-spotted by hand and if necessary pre-treated or pre-soaked to remove any stains.

Next, items are laundered either by and or machine using methods best suited to the particular item's age, condition, and soil level. Our laundering process uses state of the art European washing machines that allow for temperature control to within 10F. All items are rinsed several times to insure no traces of cleansers remain.

After laundering linens gently stretched into shape before being ironed dry. Matelassès,coverlets and quilts are cold water blocked to shape then allowed to dry retaining their proper size.Down filled items are dried slowly over a period of several hours to allow proper drying and to refluff the fibers. What makes Allo Laverie different?
At Allo Laverie our knowledge and expertise in laundering and finishing fine linens sets us apart from your average local corner laundry.

Most laundries are in business to process large amounts of laundry quickly with little attention to fine details. Using too hot water, detergents and dryers can damage fine linens, and most likely will shorten their useful lifespan. Allo Laverie treats each item uniquely, taking our time to gently clean and finish your precious items with the care and attention to detail they deserve. Allo Laverie also launders order individually, making sure your linens are not washed with another order. When it comes to finishing your linens, rather than using mangles or rotary ironers which can cause damage, we hand iron. Return to top of page.

Why is hand ironing better?
Hand ironing produces a smoother, finer result than rotary ironers, also there is less chance of damage to fine linens as a good ironer takes his/her time and examines the article as they go.

However, if you have allergies or biases against any scent at all, please inform us when placing your laundry order.

Is the laundering process hypoallergenic?
In processing normally soiled items, are cleansers are pH balanced, contain no enzymes, bleaches or optical brighteners, and are designed to rinse clean. However please advise us of any allergies when placing your order.

Why do I need to sign a waiver?
This is because Allo Laverie has found condition(s) that we must advise you of so you will understand the risks in laundering. This could be holes, tears, rips, seams becoming undone. Or, stains, possible color bleeding, possible excess shrinkage, and possible damage to trim.
Signing a waiver does not release Allo Laverie from taking the ultimate care of your item, however it is better to inform you before laundering an item of any possible damage we as professional launders feel may result. At that time you may make the decision to proceed with the cleaning process, or not.
